Dr. Jenő Dúl, Head of the Department of Foundry Engineering

„Gyula Nándori professor, who taught there between 1959 and 1990 ,was one of the first professor in the field of Foundry Engineering at the University of Miskolc, beside this he was my first mentor, too.” – said Jenő Dúl.  The  students can specialise to foundry engineering since 1963. The Department of Foundry Engineering was established in 1965,the first Head of the Department was Gyula Nándori professor. The first Metallurgical Engineers, whose specialized to Casting had finished their studies in 1968.Since the foundation of the department more then 570 graduate got his/her degree in the field of Foundry Engineering.

The University of Miskolc is the only base of the Qualification of Foundry Engineers in Hungary, beside this it is also the only know HQ of the inland R&D in the field of Casting.
